A leading IT firm in Milan is seeking a Linux System Administrator with strong experience in automation and infrastructure management. You will be responsible for managing Linux servers, automating tasks with Ansible, and ensuring system stability and efficiency. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of networking protocols. Knowledge of container technologies and cloud experience is a plus.

• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL or similar).

We are looking for a Linux System Administrator with strong experience in automation and infrastructure management using Ansible.

You will be responsible for day-to-day system operations, implementing Infrastructure as Code practices, and supporting the stability, scalability, and efficiency of our IT environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Linux servers (installation, configuration, patching, monitoring).
• Automate system administration tasks using Ansible (playbooks, roles, modules).
• Configure and support test, development, and production environments.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.
• Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to support the application lifecycle.
• Document procedures, processes, and configurations.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL or similar).
• Hands-on experience with Ansible: writing playbooks and roles, managing static and dynamic inventories.
• Solid understanding of networking, protocols, and basic services (DNS, DHCP, HTTP, SSL, SSH).
• Familiarity with version control tools (Git).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with other automation/configuration tools (Terraform, Puppet, Chef).
• Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of monitoring systems (Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix).
• Knowledge of Databases.
