Are you passionate about Linux system administration and want to grow in challenging and impactful IT projects? We are looking for a Linux System Administrator to join our IT team. This role is ideal for professionals with extensive experience in Linux-based systems, scripting, virtualization, and integrating Linux services into Windows environments.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine system administration of Linux-based servers (RHEL) and desktops (Ubuntu), including integration with Active Directory services (Domain Controller, Group and Security Policies, DNS, Trust Relationships).
  • Execute standard operational procedures, including infrastructure configuration, installation, and maintenance.
  • Develop scripts to automate system administration processes.
  • Install, configure, and maintain services such as Bind, Apache, MySQL, LDAP, and anti-malware solutions.
  • Assist in release management plans including rollout and rollback procedures.
  • Provide 2nd line system administration support to on-site and deployed installations.
  • Coordinate with the Service Desk to maximize efficiency between 1st and 2nd line support, including on-the-job training.
  • Proactively monitor assigned systems and report on performance or downtime. Generate availability reports and statistics.
  • Advise management on corrective actions or procurement needed to address system weaknesses.
  • Prepare and maintain technical and operational documentation for systems and interconnections.
  • Stay up-to-date with IT technology trends to provide state-of-the-art support.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in system administration.
  • At least 3 years’ experience with Linux RHEL servers and Ubuntu workstations, including designing, deploying, and maintaining Linux-based virtualized infrastructure.
  • Hands‑on experience with Linux scripting languages.
  • Experience with services such as Bind, Apache, MySQL, LDAP, anti-malware solutions.
  • Proven experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware.
  • Experience integrating Linux services into Windows environments using Centrify, including authentication, resource sharing, and configuration management.
  • Experience diagnosing network and equipment deficiencies.
  • Service‑minded attitude and ability to work directly with users.
  • Proficiency in administration of LDAP, SELinux, Apache, Bind, Bash, IPA authentication, and anti‑malware solutions.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in English (written and oral).
Desirable
  • Familiarity with load balancing, firewalls, etc.
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Experience leading projects in an administrator role.
  • Knowledge of security controls (e.g., NCSC, NIST SP‑800, ISO 27001).
  • Relevant certifications: CompTIA Linux+, RHCA, RHCE, VCP, CompTIA Security+.
  • Experience with Cisco Networking and EMC SAN.
  • Experience in international environments comprising military and civilian elements.
  • Proficiency in Centrify management, PowerShell scripting, and shell scripting for automation.
  • Experience with Git for code management.
