The Context

Our client is an international governmental organization whose mission is to promote the adoption of artificial intelligence within industrial companies and to accelerate technological transformation in sectors such as manufacturing, automotive, and aerospace, while supporting young researchers, startups, and scientific and industrial collaborations.

The Role

This position is responsible for managing all legal affairs pertaining to the company overall business activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing strategic legal support across functional teams.

The candidate will oversee all operational legal matters
  • Contract Lifecycle Management : Define, draft, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and conventions, with a particular focus on company's commercial activities.
  • Legal Research & Counsel : Conduct in-depth study of commercial law, labor law, intellectual property law (IP), and administrative law; perform case law research and analyze relevant regulations.
  • Compliance & Support : Collaborate with administrative and business functions to ensure the legal correctness and conformity of all acts, documents, and procedures.
  • Documentation : Prepare and file legal documentation and records.
  • Institutional Liaison : Maintain constant liaison with the "Regulatory and Corporate Affairs" function, specifically regarding the correct execution of Board resolutions.
The Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of effective professional experience gained in law firms or companies of significant size.
  • Licensed to practice law for no less than 3 years.
  • Proven ability to autonomously manage all issues related to legal affairs, wide-ranging contractual matters, and the issuance of legal opinions required for institutional activities.
  • Prior experience working with research entities, particularly those falling within the scope of Public Administration (P.A.) or state-controlled / financed bodies.
  • Effective knowledge of the operational processes characterizing the legal / corporate area of a research entity.
  • Experience gained in professional contexts of international relevance.
  • Public finance mechanisms, public economic law, and public contract law.
  • Negotiation schemes for the management and valorization of intellectual property and research activities for technology transfer to the industrial sector.
  • Operating mechanisms of research institutions, preferably those operating under private sector logics.
  • Highly motivated to contribute concretely to the entity’s start-up phase and implement core operating processes within the Legal Affairs area.
  • Proactive, results-oriented.
  • Accuracy, strong analytical skills, ability to organize activities, and effective priority management.
  • Aptitude for working effectively in multicultural and challenging environments.
  • Excellent knowledge of English is required.

Given that the Organization is a governmental entity currently undergoing a phase of development and expansion, an initial fixed-term employment contract will be offered, with the objective of subsequent appointment to a permanent position.
