Job summary

Lexroom invites a Legal & Privacy Intern to join our Milan-based team. The role focuses on supporting data subject requests across jurisdictions while assisting the Legal team and our DPO with contracts, legal research, and privacy compliance.

You will work on data subject requests handling, contract drafting, and privacy documentation, gaining exposure to EU digital regulation and privacy governance in a fast-growing tech company.

Qualifications

• Recent law degree required.
• Solid knowledge of the GDPR and EU digital regulation (e.g., AI Act).
• Native Italian and fluent English required, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Support data subject requests handling across jurisdictions (Italy, Germany, Spain, etc.).
• Keep log of requests up to date; help improve templates and response times.
• Draft and review NDAs and data processing agreements; prepare first drafts for Legal Counsels.
• Carry out legal research on privacy topics using Lexroom daily; maintain records of processing activities and privacy documentation.
• Support privacy impact assessments, vendor checks, and responses to customer security questionnaires.
• Contribute to privacy notices, internal policies, and awareness materials.

The Role

Join us as a Legal & Privacy Intern: your primary responsibility will be supporting the management of data subject requests across all jurisdictions where Lexroom operates. To broaden your experience, you will also support the Legal team and our Data Protection Officer (DPO) with contracts, legal research, and privacy compliance.

What You'll Do
Your core focus: Data subject requests

• Support the handling of data subject requests (access, rectification, erasure, objection, etc.) from users and customers in Italy, Germany, Spain, and our other markets.

• Keep the request log up to date and help improve templates, procedures, and response times.

Supporting the Legal team & DPO

• Draft and review NDAs and data processing agreements based on our playbooks.

• Review contracts, flag potential issues, and prepare first drafts for the Legal Counsels.

• Carry out legal research on privacy and digital regulation topics, using Lexroom daily in your work.

• Help maintain records of processing activities, data maps, and privacy documentation.

• Support privacy impact assessments, vendor checks, and responses to customer security questionnaires.

• Contribute to privacy notices, internal policies, and awareness materials.

What You'll Bring

• A recent law degree.

• Solid knowledge of the GDPR and a genuine interest in data protection and EU digital regulation (e.g., AI Act).

• Native Italian and fluent English, both written and spoken.

Nice to Have

• German or French language skills.

• A master's degree, course, or certification in data protection.

• Previous internship or experience in a law firm, privacy team, or tech company.
