Leonardo is seeking a Lead System Engineer to join the Systems Engineering team in the Integrated Sensing and Protection line. You will shape algorithmic vision, drive capability roadmaps, and mentor colleagues across MBSE and MBD practices.

The role requires strong mathematical and physics background, experience in sensor modelling (EO/IR/RF), and expertise with Matlab/Simulink. Security clearance eligibility is required; Basildon-based hybrid working available.

Competenze

• Broad experience of applied mathematics and physics.
• Experience in modelling and simulation of sensor systems in EO, IR, and RF domains.
• Proven ability to research and develop algorithms for complex systems; including image and signal processing, estimation, and controls.
• Expert user of Matlab/Simulink; MBSE/MBD with SysML/UML.

• Provide algorithmic vision and capability roadmaps for short, medium, and long term product development.
• Support development and research into algorithms and solutions across the company's products.
• Provide internal consultation and applied mathematical expertise for projects.
• Support design reviews as a reviewing stakeholder.
