Job summary

Jefferson Wells is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a temporary 6-month assignment in the automated intralogistics field. The role is based in Varese, Italy, with a hybrid work model (1 day remote per week) and about 30% international travel.

Compensation ranges from €40,000 to €45,000 for the six-month contract, plus a company car and welfare benefits. The project leadership position covers CAPEX and OPEX projects, ensuring scope, schedule, budget and quality targets are met while

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of project management in industrial/plant environments.
• Experience in automation and intralogistics.
• Capex and Opex project management experience.
• Proven leadership and cross-functional coordination.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Highly organized, autonomous and decisive.
• PMP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project lifecycle: planning, execution, monitoring and closure.
• Define project scope, objectives, timelines and deliverables.
• Coordinate cross-functional project teams for customer orders.
• Manage internal and external stakeholders’ expectations.
• Control budgets, costs, KPIs and project performance.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation plans.
• Oversee change management and contract variations.
• Ensure quality standards, regulatory compliance and confidentiality.
• Report progress to senior project leadership.
