Join Baker Hughes as a Lead Engineer in the Subsea Engineering division, responsible for technical delivery of subsea power and control systems for offshore energy projects.

Responsibilities
  • Establish technical requirements based on customer functional specifications and project needs in compliance with international codes and standards.
  • Lead and contribute to design development activities such as CAD modelling and documents creation ensuring alignment with requirements and schedule.
  • Work cross‑functionally with other teams and departments to align interfaces, design, activities, and deliverables.
  • Present design outcomes in design reviews when relevant.
  • Be accountable for cost‑out activities, budget monitoring and engineering plans progress.
  • Manage engineering suppliers from a technical standpoint, providing guidance and ensuring compliance with applicable technical and contractual requirements.
  • Provide engineering support to program management and other stakeholders.
  • Support the sourcing team through procurement, manufacturing and test of designed products.
  • Provide consultancy advice to the project bid team.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Subsea equipment knowledge and relevant design methodologies (desired).
  • Robust mechanical design background with proven experience in a similar role.
  • Proactive ownership and responsibility.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, fluent in English.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
