A leading engineering firm is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Lead in Milan. This position requires extensive experience in commissioning electrical systems, including HV, with a focus on supervising contractor activities and ensuring smooth handover to Operations. The ideal candidate has at least 15 years of experience in onshore/offshore projects and significant supervisory experience. This is a permanent position within a project team.

Competenze

• Minimum 15 years broad experience in onshore/offshore projects; HV experience mandatory.
• Minimum 10 years in a supervisory role, overseeing five or more individuals.
• Minimum 10 years documented experience in commissioning electrical equipment with at least 5 years in senior roles.

The job holder is responsible for commissioning of Electrical Equipment and Systems/Sub-systems and handing over all these assets to Operation in good conditions.

• During engineering phase actively supervise commissioning engineering together with contractors for Electrical equipment and Systems/Sub-systems.
• Participate in FAT-s as required.
• Commission at site and manage all interfaces between contractor and other contractors on site.
• Actively coordinate with all parties involved for a safe and on schedule engineering and execution, including with Contractor, Sub-Contractors, Vendors and Company Project Departments.
• Deliver well commissioned Electrical Systems and Equipment to Operation.
• Main characteristics of the Assets: 533 Electrical Sub-systems, plus all electrical equipment part of process, utilities, offsites, and building sub-systems; including GTG-s, EDG-s, HV, MV and LV, VSD, etc.
• Company personnel under supervision: 2 positions during engineering phase in Milano; 3 positions at site during execution phase.

Activities

Accountable to ensure contractor fulfils contractual requirements for commissioning of electrical systems and equipment and smooth transfer and hand over to Operations.

Supervise preparation and scheduling of all Electrical related Pre-commissioning and Commissioning activities to ensure that MC and RFSU of each Sub-system is achieved safe and on schedule.

This position is also responsible to ensure facilities are built to project specification.

Coordinate with Operation to complete all remaining commissioning scope of work after hydrocarbon introduction under SIMOPS.

Accountabilities

Contractual Commissioning of Electrical Equipment and Systems Onshore and Upstream, provide feedback and comments during engineering phase for Onshore and Upstream activities, supervise contractors to engineer and execute commissioning activities, coordinate the interfaces onshore/offshore, make sure facilities are handed over in good condition to Operation.

Qualifications/Experience required

• Qualifications:
  • • Bachelor of higher education in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with international standard solid experience; HV experience is a must.
• Experience:
  • • Minimum 15 years broad experience in onshore / offshore projects; HV experience is a must.
  • • Minimum 10 years in a supervisory role, supervising five individuals or more.
  • • Minimum 10 years documented experience in commissioning of Electrical equipment, with a minimum 5 years in senior roles.
