The UKA Group is expanding in Italy, seeking a Land Acquisition Specialist in Rome to secure sites for solar, wind, and storage projects. You will scout areas, negotiate leases or purchases, and work with legal and development teams to advance project development.

You will assess land suitability, maintain stakeholder relations, and support due diligence and permits while traveling as needed. Hybrid work options offered.

Competenze

• Degree in Law, Agricultural Sciences, Architecture, Geography, or related field.
• More than 5 years of professional experience in real estate development, land acquisition, or territorial planning.
• Fluency in Italian (native); working knowledge of English.
• Proven experience in land management and acquisition for renewable energy projects in Italy.
• Knowledge of GIS, Google Earth, cadastral documentation, and Italian permitting frameworks.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and authorities.
• Valid B driver's license and willingness to travel frequently.
• Strong negotiation skills and cross-functional collaboration ability.

To further expand this international growth, the UKA Group is strengthening its presence in Italy - one of our fastest-growing markets. As our Land acquisition specialist in Rome, you'll be at the forefront of securing the sites that make the energy transition real - project by project, landowner by landowner.

The Land acquisition specialist develops finds, secures, and manages land rights for solar (PV and Agri-PV), onshore wind, and battery storage systems. Key tasks include scouting of the sites, negotiating lease and or purchase agreements, and talking with property owners. The Land acquisition specialist travels to the different areas where projects are located, assesses the technical suitability of the land, and leads negotiations with landowners. You will report to the Managing Director and work closely with our development and legal teams.

Your responsibilities:

• Negotiate lease or purchase agreements and other land control documents with management approval
• Develop comprehensive strategies for acquiring and leasing parcels required for project development
• Prepare commercial offers and negotiation details in coordination with Legal and Development teams
• Maintain positive relationships with landowners and local project stakeholders
• Maintain records of all land control instruments, supporting documentation, payments, and agreement deadlines
• Assess site value and conduct due diligence to confirm eligibility for acquisition
• Screen and prioritize sites against Italy's designated eligible areas
• Search for and verify landowner contact information, ensuring correct assignment to corresponding plots
• Obtain and analyze title deeds from property registries and notaries; review property boundaries for consistency with maps and actual land conditions
• Monitor competitor land acquisition activity and market dynamics to support strategic siting decisions

Your profile:

• Degree in Law, Agricultural Sciences, Architecture, Geography, or related field
• More than 5 years of professional experience in real estate development, land acquisition, or territorial planning
• Fluency in Italian (native); working knowledge of English
• Proven experience in land management and acquisition for renewable energy projects in Italy
• Knowledge of GIS, Google Earth, cadastral documentation (visure, sister and mappe catastali) and Italian permitting frameworks (Autorizzazione Unica, VIA, PAUR, PAS, aree idonee)
• Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with diverse stakeholders, including landowners, community leaders and public authorities, to convey complex technical information both verbally and in writing
• Class B driver's license and availability for frequent business travel
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence external stakeholders to achieve win-win outcomes
• Cross-functional collaboration and cultural sensitivity in working with internal and external teams from diverse backgrounds
