Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Monfalcone, Italy, is seeking a Laboratory Engineer to conduct mechanical, chemical, corrosion, and metallurgical testing of metals, including macro- and microstructural analysis using optical microscopy. You will report to the Engineering Manager.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, have at least one year of materials testing experience, and possess Italian (C1) and English (B2).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 1+ years experience in Materials Testing Laboratory.
• Knowledge of Italian language (C1) and English language (B2).

Responsibilities

• Perform and document materials testing in accordance with standards.
• Collect, validate, manage, and report testing data and results.
• Prepare testing plans and samples, including basic machining and heat-treatment activities.
• Monitor and validate outsourced testing and machining activities; support supplier audits.
• Comply with company procedures (safety, quality, risk and security).

About The Role

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The gross base annual salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be €31.900 to €42.000.
