Bending Spoons is seeking a tax-focused professional to help shape our tax strategy across multiple European offices. You will drive planning, compliance, and governance in a fast-paced, high-growth setting with a strong emphasis on ethical standards and efficiency.

You will collaborate across finance and business teams, handling complex tax issues, transfer pricing, and regulatory developments to optimize value while maintaining rigorous compliance.

A few examples of your responsibilities

• Tax planning & compliance. Oversee tax planning at the group level, ensuring full compliance with all relevant tax laws, including corporate income tax, VAT, and other local taxes.
• Transfer pricing. Manage annual transfer pricing compliance and documentation, coordinating with external advisors and internal stakeholders to ensure intercompany transactions comply with applicable Italian and international tax requirements.
• Tax operations. Manage comprehensive tax operations, including tax liability calculations, accounting and tax treatments, and tax return filings in coordination with external advisors, as well as the tax aspects of equity incentive plans, contractors, welfare programs, and fringe benefits.
• Tax due diligence. Coordinate with external advisors on tax due diligence in the context of acquisitions and other extraordinary transactions, assessing their tax implications and supporting tax‑efficient structuring and integration.
• Tax developments & authorities. Monitor tax legislation and regulatory developments, identify opportunities for tax optimization and available incentives, and manage interactions with the Italian Revenue Agency, including voluntary compliance procedures, tax audits, inquiries, and rulings.

• Competitive pay and access to company equity at a discount. Typical annual salary offers range from £85,797 to £151,436 in London and from €66,065 to €107,837 elsewhere in Europe. The lower end of these ranges applies to candidates with little or no relevant experience, while exceptionally experienced candidates may receive offers of up to £398,287 in London or €303,108 elsewhere in Europe. Candidates offered a permanent contract may choose to receive part of their compensation in discounted company equity.

Location

Milan (Italy), London (UK), Madrid (Spain), Warsaw (Poland), or fully remote from eligible countries.
