Verkko in Pisa is hiring a Junior Platform Engineer to help build the Verkko Platform, integrating the Voltaic spiking intelligence engine into our API, workflow orchestration, and data pipelines. You will write code that executes intelligent decisions reliably.

This role focuses on Digital Automation for the next 9 months, with mentorship from senior engineers, and a path toward the Physical AI trajectory. You will gain experience across backend, memory management, and distributed systems.

Competenze

• Proficiency in Python or Go for clean, efficient code.
• Experience building or consuming RESTful APIs and JSON.
• Strong learning agility to pick up new systems.
• Systems thinking with emphasis on error handling and reliability.

Mansioni

• Develop and maintain the orchestration components translating goals into executable digital tasks (API calls, data processing).
• Build and test connectors to enterprise systems (CRM, ERP, communication tools) and ensure data flows between our platform and third‑party services.
• Assist in implementing the stateful memory interface and ensure the Living Memory is updated during workflows.
• Write tests and guardrails to ensure reliability of automation flows.
• Support Voltaic engine integration, deployment, and monitoring of latency and cost metrics.
