Systematica, Milan-based transport planning and mobility engineering consultancy, is seeking a passionate Mobility Engineer to contribute to sustainable urban development and innovative transport solutions in Milan.

The role involves developing transport models, applying macrosimulation tools, and supporting international projects with a multidisciplinary team focused on technical excellence.

Competenze

• University degree in Transport Engineering or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of professional experience in Transport Modelling and Transport Planning.
• Proven ability to support development, calibration and validation of transport models.
• Experience in technical report production.

Mansioni

• Undertake transport model development and application using various software packages to simulate and analyse urban and inter-urban transport networks.
• Implement territorial multimodal macrosimulation models and microsimulations.
• Develop transport planning research projects focusing on modelling, traffic assessment, ITS, freight and sustainability.
• Extract data from transport models, analyse and produce technical reports.
• Liaise with clients and coordinate technical details with other project consultants.

The selected candidate will be actively involved in a variety of local and international projects, contributing to the development of integrated mobility solutions that shape future cities and transportation systems. Main Duties

• Undertake transport model development and application using various software packages which enables the simulation and analysis of the urban and inter-urban transport network / system and its interactions with economic, social, environmental, and land-use factors;
• Implement territorial multimodal macrosimulation models, as well as both vehicular and pedestrian microsimulations and static road network assessment tools;
• Develop transport planning research projects with specific focus on transport modelling, traffic assessment, ITS, freight and sustainability issues;
• Extract data from transport models, analyse and produce technical reports;
• Support the liaison with Clients and coordinate technical details with other project consultants.

Job position education

University Degree in Transport Engineering or equivalent.

Job position experience

1-2 years of professional experience in Transport Modelling and Transport Planning.

Essential qualifications and experience:

• Proven ability to support the development, calibration and validation of transport models;
• Experience in technical report production.
• Excellent communication skills and interface with clients.

Desirable qualifications and experience:

• Experience in using CUBE/VISUM, PTV VISSIM, AIMSUN;
