Identis is seeking a Junior to Middle Firmware Engineer to join our R&D Hardware & Firmware Engineering team in Torino. You will develop on-device code (embedded software) and digital logic for high-precision personalization systems, spanning legacy maintenance and next-gen products.

The role requires 1–4 years in firmware or low-level development, strong C/C++ skills, and familiarity with VHDL/FPGA. You’ll work with UART/SPI/I2C and other interfaces, and collaborate with hardware,

Competenze

• 1–4 years firmware or low-level development experience.
• Solid foundation in C and/or C++ for embedded systems.
• Knowledge of VHDL and FPGA architectures is required.

Mansioni

• Design, write, and maintain embedded software in C/C++ for microcontrollers.
• Develop VHDL code on FPGA architectures for digital logic and motion control.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate firmware with boards.
• Troubleshoot code and hardware interfaces using lab instruments.
• Write low-level drivers and manage communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN).
• Maintain documentation and versioning via Git.
