Job summary

RINA is seeking a Junior Marine Noise & Vibration Engineer on a maternity cover basis for its La Spezia office in Italy. The role focuses on evaluating noise and vibration on board vessels, supporting measurements, data analysis, and compliance with international standards.

A recent graduate with an interest in naval acoustics and shipboard testing is ideal. The position offers the chance to develop technical expertise within a multinational environment and to work with experienced engineers

Qualifications

• Recent graduate in Naval Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Good knowledge of English.
• Open, if needed, to travel and work on board vessels during inspections and sea trials.

Responsibilities

• Support noise and vibration measurements on board vessels during sea trials and inspections.
• Assist in collection, processing and analysis of measurement data.
• Prepare technical reports and measurement records for compliance with IMO, IACS, RINA and ISO requirements.
• Collaborate with shipyards, shipowners and other technical teams during inspections and sea trials.
