Hitachi Rail S.p.A. in Naples, Italy, is seeking a motivated Junior Electrical Engineer to join the Rolling Stock Engineering team in Naples or Pistoia.

You will prepare system requirements, analyze supplier documentation, and help install and validate electrical systems for rail vehicles. The role requires a Master's in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, English at least B2, and 1–2 years in railway or complex industrial environments.

And that’s where you come in.****Accountabilities**The main accountabilities include, but are not limited to:* Prepare System Requirements Specifications (SyRS) for electrical components* Analyze and assess technical documentation from Suppliers* Prepare and verify electrical system installation/integration drawings/specifications (including material selection, electromagnetic/thermal analysis, etc.)* Perform simulations to optimize electrical systems performance and energy efficiency* Conduct design reviews (both internal and with suppliers) for the assigned work package, under the supervision of relevant Engineering Managers and Project Engineers* Attend at system stand-alone type test and review of type test reports* Support manufacturing, testing and validation phases* Review design documentation with customers and suppliers* Prepare electrical schematics, collaborating with mechanical design teams to ensure seamless electromechanical integration* Prepare the Bill of Materials (BoM) of electrical schematics* Ensure compliance with input requirements, international railway regulations and standards and project constraints (time, cost, quality)* Prepare the documentation required for vehicle approval and support the homologation phase**Required Skills/ Knowledge*** Basic knowledge of electrotechnics and electronics disciplines* Basic knowledge of design verification and validation methodologies* Basic knowledge of electrical CAD tools (E3 preferred)* Basic knowledge of electrical components (relays, circuit brakers, cables, connectors, etc.)* Basic knowledge of electrical schematics design* Basic knowledge of electrical machine design principles* Basic knowledge of electromagnetic simulation tools (e.g., Ansys Maxwell, Motor-CAD).* Basic knowledge of thermal and electromagnetic analysis* Good knowledge of office automation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)* Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, international and multicultural environment* Good organizational skills, alongside team-working, problem-solving and results-driven mindset* Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders (including suppliers, partners, customers)* Ability to work within project teams under minimal supervision* Availability for occasional short-term national and international business trips**Desired Skills/ Knowledge*** Minimum experience (1-2 years) in the Railway sector or in complex industrial environments* Basic knowledge of main railway regulations and standards* Basic knowledge of IBM DOORS requirements management tool* Basic knowledge of engineering processes and railway operations* Familiarity with traction systems and power converters* Basic knowledge of RAMS principles and processes* Fast learner with strong willingness to stay up to date with technological developments* Good business acumen combined with solid technical skills* Good communication and interpersonal skills**Education/Qualifications**Master's Degree in Engineering (Electrical and Electronics disciplines preferred).**Languages**Knowledge of written and spoken English (at least B2 level).“Alla posizione si applica il vigente CCNL per l’industria metalmeccanica privata e l’installazione di impianti, con inquadramento nel livello B1, ai sensi della relativa disciplina di classificazione del personale.”Proponiamo una retribuzione annua lorda compresa tra 33.000 € e 38.000 €.
