A global cabling solutions provider is looking for an Offshore Superintendent responsible for overseeing cable installation phases, interfacing with project management, and ensuring safety during operations. Candidates should be fluent in English and Italian, preferably with an engineering background, and have some experience in submarine cable installation. The role requires about 50% travel. This position offers a permanent contract, hybrid working model, and additional benefits such as health insurance and annual bonuses.

The Offshore superintendent role covers the function of Offshore Manager in the offshore installation sites, with a partial involvement as Installation Engineer in the office work.
Marine Operation Superintendent in the offshore installation sites
Execution of all cable installation phases, including preliminary works (route clearance, PLGR, pre-lay burial runs, vessel mobilization), cable loading, laying, burial, pulling, as well as cable repair and jointing
Interface with Installation Department Management and other Company Departments, mainly Project Management, Manufacturing, System Engineering, Quality, in terms of regular, suitable and correct reporting.
Health and Safety, for all personnel involved in the operations and reporting to the installation Team
Supervision of Subcontractors during the installation phase (including once more all above aspects, Technical, Quality, HSE, Contract, etc)
Preparation of installation documentation for the project execution
Subcontractor selection, starting from the preparation of specification to be used as technical documents in the request for quotation.
Interact with project Clients, mainly on technical, planning, operative aspects
Prepare As-built documentation during project completion phase, mainly gathering all reports, records, certificates, quality documents, etc
Fluent in English and Italian
A technical background in Engineering Technology or related fields is preferred.
Preferable experience in submarine cable installation or the construction industry
Availability to travel approximately 50% of the time
Permanent Contract
