A technology solutions company is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join their international software development team in Perugia, Italy. The successful candidate will develop reliable backend software and may work remotely from GMT to GMT+2 time zones. This role requires strong experience in Java Enterprise, Spring Framework, and PostgreSQL, and values proactive problem-solving and collaboration.

Competenze

• 3+ years of experience in software development.
• Good knowledge of Java Enterprise and Spring Framework.
• Experience with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.

Mansioni

• Develop reliable and well tested backend software.
• Design and implement new features for GeoServer / GeoTools.
• Fix bugs on a day-to-day basis.

About the job

We are looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our core products international software development team.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product leads and designers to develop reliable and well tested backend software
• Design and implementation of new GeoServer / GeoTools features
• Performance of day-by-day bug fixing

Minimum qualifications

• 3+ years of experience
• Good knowledge of Java Enterprise
• Good Knowledge of Spring Framework
• Good knowledge of relational databases, PostgreSQL is a must, Oracle a plus
• Ability to adapt and learn new skills quickly
• Being fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in designing and implementing scalable systems for highly concurrent loads
• Knowledge of distributed systems and related key technologies is a plus (e.g. Kafka)
• Knowledge of GeoServer and GeoTools is a plus

We offer a variety of contracts but, please, note that our intention is to establish a long-term relationship. We are a remote first company, however the ideal candidate should work from a time zone between GMT and GMT+2.

Relocation is not requested and as such we are not envisioning any relocation support package.
