Your future role

We are looking for a full‑time hybrid IXL Application Design Engineer in Bologna, BO, IT. In this role you will play a key part in customizing Alstom’s Generic Products and Applications to meet project‑specific needs, ensuring high‑quality hardware design for ACC SML300 and SML400 systems. You will work closely with teams across the business (Tender, Verification & Validation, Test & Commissioning) to define hardware configurations and BOMs, support continuous improvement of design processes and tools, and much more.

Responsibilities

• Identification and analysis of customer requirements during the Tender Phase.
• Development of the specific application by customizing Alstom Generic Product and Generic Application functions to meet project needs.
• Collaboration with the project team and other functions to follow the system design process from requirements analysis to hardware design.
• Definition of BOMs (BoQ) and hardware configurations for cabin equipment based on standard architectures for SML300 and SML400 systems.
• Support for Verification & Validation teams during the plant verification and validation phase, ensuring design choices minimize field activities and simplify migration management.
