A leading research center in biotechnology is seeking an IVY volunteer to support Interreg projects aimed at promoting biomedical innovation and restoring biodiversity. The role includes monitoring activities, engaging stakeholders, organizing events, and creating content for dissemination. Applicants should be fluent in Italian and English, with some knowledge of German. This position offers financial support of 31.76 euros per day, starting January 2026 for six months in Trieste, Italy.
The International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology ICGEB is looking for an IVY volunteer!
The volunteer will support the Interreg projects “PROMOS” and “CEDRIC”, under the Programme "Interreg Italy-Austria".
PROMOS intends to promote the Italian-Austrian biomedical ecosystem and the creation of new biomedical SMEs through cross-border technology transfer from the academic world to the market and the clinic.
CEDRIC aims to restore biodiversity in degraded soils through microbiome transplantation and to increase awareness of this knowledge by establishing a cross-border platform for stakeholder interaction and access to Good Agricultural Practices manuals.
Financial support of: 31.76 euros per day (week-end and holidays included).
Location: Trieste, Italy.
Start and duration: January 2026, for 6 months.
Languages: Italian (C1), English (C1), German (B1).
