Amazon is seeking an IT Support Engineer to keep our IT infrastructure robust across Italy's on-site facilities. You will troubleshoot issues, support end-user devices, and contribute to network projects to enable our fast-moving operations.

Based on site with travel to other sites in the country and possibly internationally, you'll collaborate with remote and on-site teams and mentor junior IT technicians as you help design and implement scalable systems for Amazon's fulfillment network.

Competenze

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, or IT.
• Experience troubleshooting in a multi-user high-availability environment.
• Experience in IT client, server, and network service delivery.
• Experience with networking technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and cross-platform support.
• Valid EU driver's license and fluency in Italian (C1) and English (B2).

IT systems that work effectively keep Amazon’s operations running at full speed. Our IT Support Engineers work behind the scenes to troubleshoot any issues and improve our systems, so that we can operate at our best. Your focus will be to make sure our IT infrastructure is up to the demands of our global business. At the same time, you’ll get to work with the latest technology and learn from leaders who are creating the warehouse environments of the future.

The applicable collective agreement for this role is CBA for employees of Logistics, Delivery and Shipping Sector . The position is classified at level 2 or above, depending on the candidate's skills, competences and experience.

Key job responsibilities

• Support end-user equipment and your building’s IT infrastructure
• Help with key network projects, like the IT setup of new Amazon buildings
• Suggest new processes that improve the way Amazon uses IT in its operational sites
• Train and mentor IT technicians

A day in the life

You’ll be based on site and will travel to other operational sites in your country, and potentially internationally, several times a month. As an IT Support Engineer, you’ll work with remote and on-site colleagues to support them with any issues. You’ll use your expertise to make sure our platforms are working at their best, often implementing projects to maintain or improve our IT infrastructure. In some cases, you may also help design the infrastructure for new buildings and make sure everything is working for the site launch.

No two days are the same at Amazon, which makes this an exciting place to work. You can expect to troubleshoot disruptive IT incidents one day and come up with new processes that make our IT systems better the next. About the team

Ops Tech Solutions (OTS) is the field IT organization responsible for first level troubleshoot of IT issues in our FCs, distribution centers and other sites.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT or equivalent
• Experience troubleshooting in a multi-user high availability environment
• Experience in IT client, server, and network service delivery
• Experience with networking technology (TCP/IP, subnetting, DNS and DHCP)
• Experience supporting Windows, Mac and/or Linux operating systems in a corporate setting
• Valid EU driver's license
• Advanced proficiency in Italian (C1 level) and English (B2 level), verbally and in writing

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment
• CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Linux (Redhat), Microsoft hardware (installation), AWS, or other industry relevant certifications
• Experience in a fast paced, dynamic organization
• Experience in customer-facing roles
• Experience of working with common network and internet protocols such as, network management protocols, network communication protocols and network security protocols

The minimum gross base salary for this position is listed below. The base salary listed corresponds to working on a full-time basis. For part-time hours, the salary will be pro-rated.

Amazon reserves the right to offer a higher salary and/or level, depending on the candidate's skills, competencies, and experience. Amazon's package may include a sign on payment. In addition, the candidate may be eligible to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com Inc. in USA.

Your recruiting team will share final salary and any restricted stock unit scheme if applicable, depending on skills and requirements.

In addition to statutory benefits, and those applicable to the relevant CBA, company supplementary benefits may apply subject to further terms.
