Job summary

Bacardi is seeking a Senior Technician, IT Operations to join our team in Pessione, Italy. You will be the face of IT for Bacardi end-users, delivering customer care, incident management and technical support across network, collaboration tools and end-user computing.

The role focuses on 2nd/3rd line support, Service Desk operations, problem analysis and coordination with suppliers. You will contribute to uptime, security, and IT governance while working across sites and on-call in a dynamic,

Qualifications

• Experience in end-user support and incident management.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management.

• Strong data security and disaster-recovery awareness.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES - WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART YOUR KEY FOCUS WILL BE:

The Senior Technician, IT Operations is the face of IT to Bacardi end-users, providing customer care, incident management and technical support across network, collaboration tools and end-user computing:

• Provide 2nd/3rd level support by telephone, remotely or on site, and upscale incidents when required.
• Operate and manage the Service Desk, maintaining accurate incident records and an online knowledge base.
• Identify recurring incidents, perform problem analysis and help prevent recurrence.
• Manage starters, leavers and movers, including equipment rollout, replacement and data access.
• Administer selected local applications and coordinate repairs or recommended solutions with external suppliers.
• Maintain network connectivity, local server-room infrastructure where in scope, and backup/restore activities.
• Support local business meetings and VIP users when required.
• Participate in out-of-hours on-call coverage and provide ad-hoc support to other sites, either on site or remotely.
• Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure in accordance with IT standards, policies and procedures.

SKILLS

To be successful in this role you will have/be:

• Excellent end-user communication and customer-service skills, face-to-face and by phone.
• Understanding of ITIL methodology.
• Understanding of hardware, software systems, SAP and network technologies.
• Knowledge of current technology trends, data security, and disaster-recovery systems and procedures.
• Understanding of IT governance, operations, privacy and security controls.
• Experience running Helpdesk/end-user support, incident management and data-centre management.
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause-analysis capabilities.
• Ability to organise and prioritise workloads in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Proficiency in English.
• Recommended: another language, project-management experience, crisis-management experience, and exposure to different markets and cultures.
