Job Description

Lead strategic projects and platform initiatives related to Core Marketing Processes and Portfolio Management as part of Barilla's digital transformation journey. Act as the key interface between Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, and IT—ensuring end-to-end project execution aligned with business objectives, technology standards, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
  • Leadership and Project Management in Core Processes Projects:
    • Support cross-functional projects by effectively collaborating with stakeholders across Marketing, Supply Chain, R&D, Finance, and Legal.
    • Ensure alignment of initiatives with Barilla's strategic priorities and technological standards.
    • Drive cross-functional synergies, guaranteeing timely delivery, quality outcomes, and consistent progress against KPIs.
  • Management of Marketing Core Processes (Trade Unit Lifecycle and Portfolio Management Platforms):
    • Oversee the Trade Unit lifecycle and portfolio management technology ecosystem, coordinating with internal teams and external contractors.
    • Align technology solutions with business strategy and ensure proper stakeholder engagement across all relevant departments.
  • Project Execution with Internal Teams:
    • Collaborate with Global teams on worldwide brand initiatives and platform-related projects.
    • Provide proactive support, ensure proper platform usage, and supervise delivery quality from external partners.
  • Partner and Contract Management:
    • Manage relationships with external suppliers, ensuring high-quality project delivery in line with security and compliance requirements.
    • Oversee contract lifecycle management to ensure cost-effectiveness and policy compliance.
    • Support project budgeting, vendor selection, contract negotiation, and platform evaluation.
  • Technical Assurance and Supervision:
    • Ensure selected digital solutions comply with Barilla's technology architecture, security, and privacy standards.
    • Act as a bridge between technical and business teams to guarantee feasibility and scalability of proposed solutions.
  • Platform Design and Data Integration, Analytics and Dashboarding:
    • Design and optimize processes, identify platform and integration needs to support automation and KPI improvement.
    • Collaborate with enterprise architecture teams to build seamless integration across in-house and SaaS platforms.
  • Interactions / Interpersonal Skills:
    • Internal Relations: 1. GD&BT colleagues (Marketing, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Procurement, etc.) 2. Marketing core processes team 3. Supply Chain, Finance, and R&D stakeholders 4. Legal, HR, and other cross functions 5. International/Regional leaders
    • External Relations: 1. Platform Vendors 2. Functional & Technical Solution Consultants 3. System Integrators 4. Application Maintenance Teams
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree (IT, Informatics, Management Engineering)
  • Minimum of 4 years as an IT Demand/Project/Delivery Manager
  • Certifications: Project Management certifications highly appreciated
  • Solid understanding of IT architecture, Cloud, SaaS, integration, security, and scalability
  • Familiarity with Microsoft (SharePoint, Power Platform, Teams), SAP CX, and Esko/WebCenter
  • Knowledge of business flows (Trade Unit lifecycle, consumer engagement)
  • Awareness of data governance, compliance, and privacy
  • Experience managing multiple workstreams and timelines
  • Skilled in cross-functional collaboration (Marketing, Legal, Supply Chain)
  • Experience with external vendors and international teams
  • Familiar with Agile and tools like JIRA, MS Project
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Capable of translating technical content for non-technical audiences
  • Experience leading meetings, workshops, and training sessions
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive
  • Curious about new technologies and trends
  • Resilient, adaptable, and effective under pressure
