Bank of America in Milan offers an off-cycle Investment Banking Analyst internship designed to give exposure to industry, country, and product coverage. You will work with bankers on diverse projects and contribute to client presentations and financial analyses.

Successful candidates typically pursue either an undergraduate or postgraduate degree, with a 2:1 or equivalent, and may transition to full-time roles starting mid- to late-2028.

The team

The Investment Banking division is organized across industry, country, and product coverage teams. Industry teams include Consumer and Retail; Natural Resources; Financial Institutions; Financial Sponsors; Healthcare; Multi-Industries; Real Estate, Gaming and Leisure; and Technology, Media and Telecoms amongst others. Product teams cover Mergers and Acquisitions and Leveraged Finance and country teams cover all regions in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and are partially or fully based in regional offices. Coverage teams work together across the Investment Banking division to provide solutions to our clients on a range of strategic topics covering corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and capital markets advice.

Programme Overview

Our Off-cycle Analyst programme is designed to offer you a broad and exciting experience of work within Investment Banking. During your internship, you'll be gaining exposure to a variety of industry, country or product coverage teams.

Training and Development

Your training and development are our top priority with extensive formal training offered at the start of the programme in addition to on-the-job support, educational speaker events and mentorship throughout.

Responsibilities

• Work on projects alongside bankers in specific industry, product and country coverage groups providing you with a unique learning opportunity
• Help the team deliver solutions to clients leveraging the full spectrum of the bank's capabilities
• Actively contribute to the preparation of client presentations and underlying financial analysis
• Build relationships, knowledge and experience that will open doors to a wide range of future career opportunities
• Actively participate in executing transactions, including work with clients as well as representatives of other investment banks and other advisors

Eligibility

• Candidates are required to be pursuing either an undergraduate or postgraduate degree from an accredited college or university with a completion time frame between January 2026 and July 2028. Completion means that you have completed all final exams, coursework, and have no outstanding requirements for graduation.
• On track for a minimum 2:1 degree classification (or equivalent)

Candidates who perform well during the internship may be offered full time employment to commence in July 2028; some lines of business may also offer the opportunity of a January or April start date. You must be available to join on one of these start dates if offered, unfortunately we are unable to offer deferrals.

• Fluency in English is essential for all roles and a fluency in Italian is a strong preference
