Vestas is seeking a Site Supervisor to lead on-site installation and commissioning activities for wind farm projects in Italy, Turkey, Greece, Israel and Cyprus. You will work closely with the Site Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure safety, quality and timely completion of tasks.

The role requires coordinating lifting operations, inspections, and wind turbine work inside the turbine and tower, while reporting on safety, costs and deviations.

The Installation Department is responsible for the installation and commissioning of all wind farm projects from start to completion within our cluster, which includes Italy, Turkey, Greece, Israel, and Cyprus. The team takes responsibility for a wind farm once the contract is signed and remains responsible until the final tests are completed. Based on-site, and working closely with the Site Manager, Logistics, Purchasing, as well as subcontractors, the Site Supervisor will supervise field activities to ensure safety, quality, and planning standards are met while providing technical assistance.

Responsibilities

As part of the team managed by the Site Manager, the Site Supervisor will be responsible for:

• Respecting and being accountable for safety and quality on-site;
• Supervising lifting operations, wind turbine preparation, and inspections;
• Follow-up work inside the wind turbine at all Vestas wind parks under assembly;
• Ensuring the quality guarantee, reporting any non-compliance, and creating punch lists during wind turbine installation;
• Ensuring proper unloading of components: inspection, repairs of the wind turbine during installation, and work inside the tower
• Reporting on safety, cost planning, quality improvement, and deviations

Qualifications

• High school degree +2/3 years in construction management or an equivalent field
• 1-2 years of experience in site and team management
• Knowledge of safety, management procedures, delivery stations, electrical instruments, cells, and APIs; understanding of technical documents
• Experience in the wind sector is valuable
• Fluency in Italian and English (both spoken and written) is essential
• Organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• High diligence in maintaining a safe working environment and crisis management
• Leadership and team skills
• Ability to prioritize and focus in stressful situations

The job position in question corresponds to level D2 pursuant to the applicable National Collective Bargaining Agreement for Metalworking Companies (Federmeccanica). The gross annual salary expected for the candidate is a minimum of € 27.884,33, set by the current national and company collective bargaining agreement.
