A leading laboratory automation company based in Italy is seeking a qualified Field Support Engineer for remote and on-site support of customer cytogenetic laboratories. The role involves significant travel throughout Italy and Europe, providing maintenance and assistance with automated sample-preparation devices. Candidates must have a technical qualification in electro-mechanical or biomedical fields, along with excellent English communication skills. Prior experience in customer service and problem-solving abilities are essential.
ADS Biotec are a leader in the manufacture and supply of Lab Automation Instruments for the cytogenetic analysis market. Our customers include prominent hospitals and clinical labs around Europe and the world. The European support team is field based, with the primary office in the UK, and our service team located in several countries. We additionally have customers and support staff located in the US & Japan.
We currently seek qualified individuals for the role of Field Support Engineer to join our European Service & Support team and to be based in ITALY . The role will be a home office based, field service position, to support customer cytogenetic laboratories in the use and maintenance of our automated sample-preparation devices.
You will provide and maintain an excellent customer support relationship. You will provide remote assistance and on-site support services together with annual maintenance visits, perform emergency repairs, firmware & hardware upgrades. You will document work to our ISO quality system’s guidelines in preparing field reports that track all works carried out, using our online CRM reporting software.
In this remote - based role you will need to arrange your own travel throughout Europe, controlling cost efficiently. The role will involve frequent travel within Italy and around Europe, both driving and flying which will make up a major portion of your work time.
You will support all of our European customer base, however, the focus countries for this role include Italy , Central Europe, and The Nordic regions. There will also be regular training trips to our UK support centre.
