A leading consulting firm is seeking an experienced IT Consultant to support the migration and update of IT systems in Bologna, Italy. The role involves managing various infrastructure projects while ensuring collaboration with internal teams for smooth transitions. Proficiency in Italian and English, along with a solid background in IT infrastructure, is essential. This role offers flexibility with remote working options.

Competenze

• Proficiency in Italian and English at C1 level (CEFR).
• Proven experience in IT infrastructure projects.
• Solid hands-on experience with Windows Autopilot and user adoption.
• Working knowledge of Avaya applications is a plus.
• Ability to work independently in a complex IT environment.

Overview

We are currently looking for an experienced IT Consultant for our client in the industrial manufacturing sector.

Responsibilities

The consultant will play a key role in the update and migration of IT systems as part of a global infrastructure transformation initiative.

The role involves both technical execution and coordination of updates and migrations across various systems and platforms, including:

• Windows 11 Autopilot – Device provisioning and management
• Avaya – Telephony systems replacement (Nice-to-have)
• Autodesk CAD – Setting up a replication site
• Cisco Network – Replacement of switches and wireless access points
• Windows Server – System upgrades and configuration
• Nutanix Environment – Migration from VMware to Nutanix

The consultant will collaborate closely with internal IT teams and stakeholders across multiple regions, ensuring minimal downtime and smooth transitions during system migrations.

Required Knowledge and Experience

• Proficiency in Italian and English at C1 level (CEFR)
• Proven experience in IT infrastructure projects
• Solid hands‑on experience with Windows Autopilot and user adoption
• Working knowledge of Avaya applications (Nice-to-have)
• Experience with reminder systems is considered an advantage
• Ability to work independently in a complex, international IT environment
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
