A global manufacturing leader is looking for an Industrial Controller in Vignate, Italy. You will join the Industrial Controlling team in a dynamic environment where you'll define standard costs and support financial reporting. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in manufacturing controlling, proficiency in SAP R3, and strong analytical skills. This role requires collaboration across international teams and offers a vibrant work atmosphere focused on efficiency and process improvement.

Job title: Industrial Controller

Location: Vignate (MI) Italy

Direct reporting line: Local Plant Controller that reports to EMEIA Finance Director

Position Objective

You will be part of the Industrial Controlling team in a leading manufacturing facility that produces ETO Engineered solutions as well as MTO/MTS standard series products within EMEIA Compression Systems & Services Business unit. Assisting the Plant Controller, EMEIA regional team and Brno SSC with the deliverables and deadlines as requested. Business Partnering with Operations and Business functions. The candidate should be a competent team player with a positive attitude, be proactive and possess a high attention to details.

Responsibilities
Standard costing
  • Material standard cost definition, costing view creation for buy, make and subcontractor items.
  • Material standard costing run, maintenance and update.
  • Preparation and coordination of the annual costing run.
  • Material enrichment Finance partner in SAP and Windchill.
  • Material purchase price variances (PPV) analysis and reporting.
  • Material standard cost burden rate analysis. Standard cost burden/absorption components like DL (direct labour), F&D (freight & duties), OH (overhead) calculation and validation.
Industrial cost controlling
  • Work order costs review and validation for the production, remanufacturing and aftermarket units.
  • Validation of material and production variances understanding the root cause and the corrective actions.
  • Reviewing of the transactions to insure proper impact on accounting records and product costs.
  • Assists excess and obsolete inventory review.
  • Proactively seeks out ways to improve processes and accuracy and drive efficiency.
  • Supports Operations and Business functions for accounting and costing issues.
  • Close cooperation with the Regional Shares Service Centre located in another European country.
  • Other adhoc requests, analysis, reports and projects.
Monthly financial closure, Forecasting and Reporting
  • Monthly BS and P&L account reconciliations, journal entry postings, analysis and reporting.
  • Provides insightful month end analytical reporting to deliver context and implications of the financial results, trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Inventory detailed reconciliation and analysis.
  • Supports the preparation of the annual budget, quarterly, monthly, weekly forecasts.
Qualifications
  • 3+ year working experience in manufacturing controlling with standard costing is a must.
  • Strong SAP R3 proficiency is a must.
  • Proven ability to work well in a cross-functional and international environment.
  • Strong numerical skills, analytical thinking, careful structured approach applying accounting acumen related to a manufacturing environment.
  • IT skills (Microsoft Office) required. Experience with Hyperion Consolidation, BI tools.
  • Good written and oral communication in Italian and English.
