Your Team Responsibilities

We are seeking to expand MSCIs Index Client Coverage Team in Milan with a commercially driven and results-oriented individual with finance / financial services sales experience. The Index Sales Specialist will play an important role in driving MSCIs index business across Italy and South & Eastern Europe. The individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with institutional investors asset managers banks and other financial institutions. The role combines sales business development product knowledge and client engagement to grow MSCIs footprint in the region. The role demands a consummate relationship builder both internally and externally to drive sales and achieve revenue targets. The individual will work very closely with all parts of the MSCI organization including Client Service Marketing Legal Finance Research and Product Management.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to grow MSCIs Index franchise in Italy and within the broader South & Eastern Europe Region
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across asset managers wealth managers banks broker dealers pension funds insurance companies and other financial institutions
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within client organizations
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Research Product Management Client Service Legal) to deliver tailored index solutions
  • Manage the full sales cycle and ensure contract renewals & run rate retention
  • Represent MSCI at client meetings conferences and industry events
  • Provide client feedback to help shape product development and strategic initiatives
Your skills and experience that will help you excel
  • 2 years of experience in financial services preferably in client coverage within Index ETF or Data sales
  • Strong passion for business development client prospecting and account management
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing complex client relationships
  • Relentless drive to deliver results for clients and for MSCI through an entrepreneurial client-focused and collaborative approach
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced matrixed environment strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in both Italian and English
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to understand technical products and market trends
  • Good understanding of capital markets and investment processes
  • Bachelors Degree in Finance Economics or Business Administration. Masters Degree MBA or CFA designation is a plus.
