Job summary

Globeducate is seeking a motivated Design and Technology Teacher to deliver IB MYP and Canadian OSSD-aligned learning for Middle and High School at the Bilingual European School. The role focuses on designing units, guiding design thinking, creating artefacts, and integrating digital tools to foster enquiry, invention, and real-world problem solving.

Applicants should hold a relevant degree, pedagogical qualification, and experience in designing interdisciplinary projects with inclusive teaching

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture or engineering with teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE) or equivalent.
• Solid experience in teaching Design & Technology at middle/high school level.
• Strong classroom management and inclusive teaching practices.
• Ability to design interdisciplinary, inquiry-based units aligned with IB MYP and other curricula.
• Proven ability to plan, assess, and reflect on teaching to raise student outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver units of inquiry aligned with the IB MYP curriculum and High School programmes.
• Guide students through the design cycle from needs analysis to prototyping and evaluation.
• Assist students in transforming ideas into artefacts through sketches, drawings, and digital modelling.
• Integrate digital technologies for design, 2D/3D modelling, prototyping, and presentation.
• Develop rubrics and assessment tools aligned with subject objectives and the IB framework.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and promote interdisciplinary learning.
