An AI research institute in Turin seeks an HPC / AI Specialist to optimize and maintain high-performance computing infrastructure for AI activities. The role requires expertise in managing compute environments, providing technical support for AI workloads, and collaborating with engineers and researchers. Candidates should possess solid knowledge of CPU/GPU architectures, experience with distributed storage systems, and scripting skills. This is a hybrid role offering competitive compensation and a dynamic work environment.

Competenze

• Experience troubleshooting performance bottlenecks in compute or storage environments.
• Practical understanding of AI training and fine-tuning workloads.
• Experience supporting shared infrastructure with uptime responsibility.

Mansioni

• Operate and maintain Linux-based HPC clusters for AI workloads.
• Manage GPU and CPU compute environments for performance tuning.
• Provide hands-on technical support for AI workload optimization.
• Monitor system health and troubleshoot user-facing issues.

Conoscenze

Solid background in CPU and GPU architectures

Experience operating HPC clusters

Hands-on experience with distributed storage systems
