The Opportunity

We are looking for a HVAC and Energy Engineer to join our MEP team (Mechanical Electrical & Plumbing) within Arup Milan Office.

Responsibilities
  • Design mechanical systems including heating, cooling, heat rejection, air and water distribution, ventilation, air conditioning, water supply and drainage systems, building automation and controls.
  • Define and develop energy & carbon (scope 1,2,3) strategies with a particular focus on Science, Industry and Technology projects and client.
  • Liaise with architects, clients, and other stakeholders to set the constraints of the mechanical design and energy/carbon targets and co-ordinate with all other disciplines in terms of requirements, inputs, and influence on all other.
  • Act as project lead engineer and interface with the client.
  • Manage small project teams.
Qualifications
  • Sound knowledge in mechanical engineering and energy/carbon fundamentals.
  • Bachelor/master’s degree in mechanical/building/Energy Engineering.
  • Confirmed experience in the design of mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Revit MEP.
  • Fluency in both English and Italian, written and spoken.
  • Good communication skills essential for team-based working.
  • Excellent planning and organization skills required for our fast-paced environment.
  • Proactivity and willingness to take on new challenges.
