Taylor Hopkinson is recruiting a HSE Manager on behalf of an IPP, to lead and coordinate Health, Safety, and Environment activities across Europe.

This position is based in Milan or Rome and reports directly to the CEO. The role has a European scope, overseeing HSE standards across both corporate offices and construction sites, ensuring compliance with local legislation and fostering a unified safety culture throughout the organisation.

Responsibilities
  • Harmonise HSE policies and procedures across multiple countries and all business phases.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for HSE matters across offices and project sites.
  • Monitor and report on HSE performance and KPIs across the group.
  • Coordinate with the RSPP to define and implement HSE construction plans.
  • Conduct or coordinate audits and inspections on construction sites.
  • Identify and mitigate typical office‑related risks (e.g., ergonomics, fire safety, stress). Oversee emergency procedures, risk assessments, and regular inspections in all office locations.
  • Organise and coordinate health and safety training for office staff.
  • Define HSE protocols and risk management procedures for project development activities (e.g., site visits, travel).
  • Develop risk matrices, guidelines, and training materials for staff involved in development work.
  • Support teams throughout the development process to ensure safe working practices and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor incidents and ensure proper reporting and follow‑up across jurisdictions.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in the renewable energy sector is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certified HSE qualifications; ISO 45001 or similar international credentials are a plus.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in an international context.
  • Experience in both corporate and construction environments, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
  • Fluency in Italian (native level) and strong proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
