The HSE Coordinator is responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by implementing COMPANY HSE policies, monitoring compliance with industry standards, coordinating safety programs, and ensuring that all personnel operate in accordance with regulatory and project-specific safety requirements, tasks required.

General Description of Role and Responsibilities (but not limited to)
HSE Program Implementation
  • Implement and maintain HSE plans, procedures, and programs on the project/site.
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure HSE policies are effectively communicated and enforced.
  • Facilitate onboarding and HSE induction of new personnel and contractors.
  • Monitoring & Inspection
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments at work sites.
  • Monitor critical activities (hot work, confined space entry, working at height, lifting) to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment across the site.
Incident Management
  • Investigate incidents, near‑misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain incident and accident records in compliance with corporate and legal requirements.
  • Follow up on root cause analyses and ensure lessons learned are communicated and implemented.
Training & Communication
  • Coordinate HSE training programs (e.g., fire safety, first aid, emergency response, permit‑to‑work).
  • Conduct toolbox talks, safety meetings, and emergency drills.
  • Promote a strong safety culture through ongoing awareness campaigns.
Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with local/national safety regulations and international standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001, API, OHSAS).
  • Interface with regulatory authorities during audits, inspections, or site visits.
  • Maintain all safety documentation, permits, and risk registers up to date.
Reporting
  • Compile daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports for internal and client reporting.
  • Track KPIs such as LTI, TRIR, and manhours worked without incident.
  • Maintain safety statistics and analyze trends for continuous improvement.
Skills & Competencies required
  • Deep knowledge of safety management systems and risk assessment techniques.
  • Familiarity with hazardous area classifications, lifting operations, work permits, and emergency response plans.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Able to interpret HSE laws, codes, and industry practices.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills
  • Bachelor of Science Degree (BSc) in Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Work experience of eight (8) years in the sought discipline after earning the BSc degree.
  • Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of offshore experience in total, with at least the last 3–5 years spent on offshore projects.
  • Excellent spoken and written English including proven ability to write specifications and reports.
