A leading global performance motorsports company is looking for a HELMETS INDUSTRIALIZATION & QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN to support the R&D department in ensuring quality standards in helmet products. This role involves collaborating with various teams to streamline the production process and guarantee compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate should have a technical background and experience in quality assurance, along with the ability to work internationally.

Competenze

  • Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or similar.
  • Proven experience in industrialization and/or quality assurance.
  • Knowledge of helmet manufacturing processes is a strong plus.

Position: HELMETS INDUSTRIALIZATION & QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN

To join the R&D department to support the industrialization and quality assurance of helmet products in production facilities. The ideal candidate will work closely with product development, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure a smooth transition from design to mass production while guaranteeing product compliance with safety standards and quality expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Industrialization
  • Collaborate with R&D and Engineering teams to ensure helmet designs are production-ready, scalable and cost-efficient.
  • Contribute to the development of manufacturing processes and tooling for new helmet models.
  • Participate in prototyping, pre-series, and pilot production runs to evaluate manufacturability and suggest improvements.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to align on production standards and tolerances.
  • Monitor process capabilities and drive continuous improvements in production efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Quality Assurance
  • Develop and implement quality inspection protocols in process production and finished helmets.
  • Conduct routine and random inspections to ensure compliance with international safety standards (e.g., ECE, DOT, CCC, FIM).
  • Analyze defects, failures, and returns; lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Maintain and update QC documentation, including test reports, audit checklists, and compliance records.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and production teams to ensure consistent quality across batches.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Act as the technical liaison between design, manufacturing, and quality departments.
  • Support supplier audits and technical visits when necessary.
  • Contribute to risk assessments (e.g., FMEA) for new products and process changes.
Qualifications
  • Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or similar.
  • Proven experience in industrialization and/or quality assurance, preferably in helmets, sporting goods, automotive safety gear, or PPE industries.
  • Knowledge of helmet manufacturing processes (injection molding, composite layup, EPS forming) is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with quality standards (ISO 9001, product certification standards).
  • Experience with QC tools (e.g., SPC, 8D, CAPA) and industrialization methodologies.
  • Familiarity with testing equipment (impact testers, retention systems, environmental chambers).
  • Hands-on approach with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and use inspection tools (calipers, gauges, CMM, etc.).
  • Certification in Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) is a plus. Knowledge of regulatory testing protocols and certification processes.
  • Experience working with Asian and European suppliers.
  • Fluent in English; availability to travel abroad and potentially relocate to Asia.
