Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center is seeking a Security Officer to provide patient- and visitor-focused security services on a part-time basis. The role covers interior and exterior patrols, incident response, and collaboration with hospital staff to maintain a safe environment.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and relevant security experience. Familiarity with safety protocols and ability to de-escalate incidents is essential.

Formación

• High school graduate or GED.
• 1 year of experience in security/public safety or customer service handling emergencies.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• CHSO or equivalent security certifications encouraged; various licensure may be required by state.

Responsabilidades

• Provides security services with a customer-service approach, focusing on professionalism and safety.
• Maintains professional appearance and enforces safety rules and regulations.
• Performs interior and exterior patrols to identify hazards and ensure security.
• Responds to emergencies, de-escalates situations, and documents incidents thoroughly.
• Liaises with law enforcement and first responders as needed to ensure safety and compliance.
