This is what you will do
The Head of Supply Chain is responsible for overseeing the entire supply chain operations of the pharmaceutical manufacturing facility to ensure efficient, compliant, and cost-effective production and distribution of pharmaceutical products.
This role drives the site production planning, inventory, logistics and warehouse to meet company goals and regulatory requirements.
You will be responsible for
- Lead and manage end-to-end supply chain processes, including sourcing, production planning, inventory control, warehousing, and logistics.
- Develop and implement site supply chain strategies aligned with Global Supply Chain strategy and company objectives to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
- Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical industry regulations and internal quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality assurance and regulatory affairs to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
- Monitor supply chain performance metrics and KPIs, identify risks and bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.
- Lead and mentor the supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
- Oversee inventory optimization to meet production schedules and customer demands.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives in supply chain processes to enhance data accuracy and operational visibility.
- Ensure site Supply Chain evolution in alignment to site program execution with particular focus on product insourcing and launch.
- Lead the supply chain budget preparation and ensure operational cost adherence to the approved budget.
You will need to have
- Minimum 7-10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
- Proven track record of leading supply chain operations in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a medium-sized facility.
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and collaborating with regulatory bodies.
- Demonstrated success in implementing supply chain optimization and cost-saving initiatives.Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical supply chain regulations, including GMP, GDP, and FDA / EMA guidelines.
- Expertise in demand planning, inventory management, procurement, and logistics.
- Proficient in ERP systems and supply chain management software.
- Analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision making and performance measurement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Pharmacy, Engineering, or related field.
- Fluency in English is required
We would prefer for you to have
- Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) or relevant certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) are a plus.
- Additional language skills relevant to the region or global suppliers / customers are advantageous (e.g. French).
