Overview

The Head of Sales Center IT (Italy) is responsible for the sales performance and business development of Kistler products in the assigned countries. They manage the different strategic business fields and report to the Head of Corporate Region West.

Responsibilities
  • Responsibility for all operational business in the assigned Countries, especially sales activities according to budget and yearly planning (including trade fairs, promotional campaigns, etc.)
  • Heading the office KIT managing all staff.
  • Meets the defined sales targets and KPI in a defined sales territory.
  • Develops and implements a sales strategy in conjunction with the Regional management.
  • Provides advice on the appropriate application of each company product.
  • Actively in contact with major customers.
  • Increases marketing activities and Kistler visibility into the local market.
  • Collects and shares information about local competitors and their strategies on field.
  • Business planning: establishes the yearly planning like budget for cost control; reviews financials every tertial (4 month cycle) with Board of Directors.
  • Keeps the CM %, DSO and costs under control following the assigned COSTS targets and profitability.
  • Implements appropriate service activities, ensuring the right book and bill every month.
  • Manages the sales process and guides the local staff. Evaluates the performance of the territories and manages deviations to stay on track and achieve budget.
  • Visits and communicates to key customers / OEM directly regarding price, delivery, or resolution of technical issues.
  • Establishes a planning and implementation schedule so that the activities of the sales personnel in the Territory are transparent. Implements a matrix structure so market segments and territorial responsibilities are clear.
  • Takes care of the expansion of business, both in new application fields and in all territories under management.
  • Monthly review of the sales and project status with the sales staff; reports results regularly.
  • Organizes quarterly sales review meetings and coordinates training of staff with HQ resources.
  • MTP and forecasting activities together with local department heads.
  • Direct management of 4 / 5 key accounts (main customers).
  • Involvement in regional activities when requested, part of Regional Mgmt Team.
  • Active member of local industrial associations, actively seeking networking opportunities.
Profile / Qualifications
  • Engineer with technical, managerial, and marketing education.
  • Excellent communication abilities and understanding of the sales and marketing process.
  • Leadership and team-building capabilities, potential for general management.
  • Strategic thinker and action-oriented doer (vision and action, creator with perseverance).
  • Computer skills in understanding and using personal computers.
  • Reliable and optimistic, self-motivated, creative, and disciplined.
  • Willing to develop knowledge not only on the Kistler sensors and systems but also the applications to provide a more complete service and consultancy to the customers.
  • Strong willingness to travel and commitment to develop new key customers and increase the sales turnover in the allocated territory.
  • Support the events and the strategies of the management to help KIT on the achievement of the global results.
  • B class driving license with a clean record.
  • Language skills: English and Italian as mandatory (C1 or C2 level), German nice to have.
  • Domicile in the vicinity of the office required.
