Overview

Head of Finance – Italy role at La Redoute. Reporting directly to the Country Director of our Italian subsidiary, you will play a key strategic role in shaping La Redoute’s financial vision and performance in Italy.

As Head of Finance, you will oversee all financial aspects of the business, from accounting and tax compliance to controlling, budgeting, and performance management, while actively supporting the management team in adapting and scaling the business model. You will lead a team comprising a Financial Controller and a Revenue Growth Analyst, ensuring strong financial insight and operational excellence across all areas.

Your Responsibilities
  • Strategic Finance Leadership: Act as a trusted business partner to the Country Director and leadership team, providing financial insights to guide strategic decisions and business growth.
  • Guarantee the accuracy and reliability of financial data, ensuring compliance with accounting, tax, and legal requirements in Italy.
  • Partner closely with the Group’s accounting and finance departments in France and Portugal to ensure smooth integration and alignment with group standards.
  • Accounting and Tax: Supervise accounting production in collaboration with our Shared Service Center in Portugal and external advisors in tax, audit, legal, and payroll.
  • Ensure full compliance with Italian accounting principles & tax.
  • Oversee the consolidation of financial data and ensure timely monthly closings.
  • Controlling and Performance Management: Build, control, and optimize the entire subsidiary budget, including turnover, margin, personnel, and investments.
  • Guarantee that financial objectives such as turnover, EBITDA, and costs are met and that deadlines are respected.
  • Develop and adapt financial reporting tools and dashboards to ensure clear performance tracking.
  • Analyze variances between forecasts and actuals, propose corrective actions, and monitor a rolling forecast.
  • Support business teams in decision-making through performance reviews and action plans.
Who You Are
  • Business-oriented and strategic, with a solid understanding of P&L, accounting, legal, and tax matters in Italy.
  • Skilled in financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting tools.
  • A collaborative leader who enjoys partnering with teams to improve performance and drive results.
  • Fluent in Italian and English, with French as a plus.
  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in finance or financial auditing, ideally in a fast-paced or international environment.
