A global food manufacturer is seeking an experienced Maintenance Utilities & Facilities professional to oversee energy and maintenance operations at their Caprarola plant. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years in maintenance management, and must be fluent in Italian and English. This role focuses on ensuring utilities efficiency, project improvements, and adherence to safety standards.

• 5+ years of management experience in maintenance department.
• 3+ years of experience in personnel management.
• Strong knowledge of Engineering best practices.
• Fluent in Italian and English, additional European languages are a plus.

About the Role

Reporting to the Hco Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Utilities & Facilities will ensure the management of plant utilities to guarantee the supply of energy, hot and cold water / steam. Ensure air conditioning for both production and offices. Ensure maintenance activities for all the buildings.

Main Responsibilities

UTILITIES MAINTENANCE

• Coordinates interventions in area of competence to achieve the objectives of efficiency of the machinery and identify new opportunity of improving service

Ensures repairing and maintenance of utilities in the Plant

• Supports planning of the preventive maintenance regarding utilities and buildings and its relative actions to ensure its proper working
• Constantly controls the system of fulfilled maintenance interventions
• Supports the responsible for maintenance services in the working out of the budget of maintenance in his area of competence
• Verifies the maintenance cost trends and analyze variations vs budget
• Monitoring Plant KPIs to assess the effectiveness, efficiency, and reliability of maintenance processes and company assets
• Ensure the monitoring of maintenance work undertaken by external companies in order to guarantee optimal execution of in terms of quality and safety

ENERGY AND DISTRUBUTION OF FLUIDS

• Responsible for the distribution of electricity and different fluids : water steam, air in accordance with the environment standards
• Analyses consumption of energy to respect international agreements about the greenhouse effect and KPI portal and system update
• Supervise maintenance of security alarm and video surveillance system installations
• Gather and maintain information and archive for SMETA, FM Global, ISO and related audits

NEW PROJECTS

• Supports the responsible of new works to develop and realize new projects of improvement of efficiency and effectiveness of machinery of the Plant
• Exercise direct supervision of new investments, fabricating, maintaining and repairing of building(s)
• Studies and proposes new machinery or equips existing ones with an aim of reducing costs of production

Who we are looking for

The successful candidate will be an experienced subject matter expert in maintenance / workplace safety and energy / environment related topics. The candidate must be a self-starter and possessing the ability to manage multiple complex projects and tasks simultaneously. You will have strong knowledge of Engineering best practice and be a Technically strong and experienced Engineering Specialist of the function.

REQUIRED

• Degree in Industrial / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Management experience in maintenance department (5+ years)
• Experience in personnel management (3+ years)
• Proven track record of delivering improved equipment / department performance
• Italian mandatory and fluent in English(any other European language is a plus)
• International mobility
