Serco’s Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) role supports the U.S. Army’s Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) initiative, focusing on Soldier readiness across Brigade, Battalion, and Company levels.
Responsibilities
- Design and administer strength and conditioning training compliant with NSCA CSCS or CSCCA SCCC practices.
- Ensure program quality through adherence to Brigade Performance Director guidelines and industry standards.
- Participate in meetings with the BDE PD and H2F Performance Team to discuss programs and provide feedback.
- Document and monitor Soldier/unit progression, suggesting improvements to the H2F System.
- Manage equipment operations and report deficiencies.
- Support the Lead SCC in developing and managing programs.
- Establish and maintain communication with BDE, BN, and Company leadership.
- Implement and manage physical performance optimization aligned with unit training schedules.
- Create and endorse programs tailored to unit missions and individual Soldier tasks.
- Submit proposed programs for approval and oversee implementation.
- Develop training programs for Soldiers with physical limitations in collaboration with medical authorities.
- Ensure services align with the H2F Performance Team’s offerings.
- Offer mentorship and training to unit fitness leaders and the H2F Integrator.
- Guide Soldiers and leadership on injury mitigation and conditioning.
- Refer Soldiers with potential medical issues to appropriate healthcare services.
- Collect, document, and report performance data per BDE PD instructions.
- Recommend enhancements to the Lead SCC for the H2F System.
- Observe and support training events and coordinate facility scheduling.
- Develop programs in accordance with FM 7‑22 Holistic Health and Fitness standards.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to pass NACI (Tier 1) for access to U.S. Government facilities.
- A bachelor’s degree in any field.
- Minimum of three years of relevant SCC work experience within the last five years (or two years of SCC work and one year of internship/graduate experience; or other waivers as noted).
- Active/current certification as NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or CSCCA Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC).
- Active/current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or CPR with AED certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Capability to handle loads up to 45 pounds and meet physical demands of outdoor training.
- Ability to travel 10 % as needed.
Additional Desired Experience and Skills
- Active NACI.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams).
