About the role

Reporting into the Front of House Manager, you will be responsible for guest transport, greeting guests and assisting guests with their luggage during arrival and departure, managing errands including deliveries and collections from guest rooms during their stay, managing the transport of hotel packages and parcels, ensuring a high level of cleanliness in the lobby and luggage storage room, assisting guests at the Concierge Desk, and responding to a wide variety of guest requests, adding your personal recommendations and touches ensuring our guests receive the highest levels of service excellence.

What will you do
  • Greets guests who arrive by private car, taxi, or limo by opening their car door and welcoming them to the hotel. Assists guests descending from cars. Issues appropriate valet parking ticket to guests who want car parked. Gives verbal greeting to guests arriving on foot. Opens hotel doors for all guests.
  • Unloads guest luggage from car, tag sit and issues claim tickets to the guest. Directs hotel guests to the Front Desk for check-in. Transfers luggage to the Bell Staff.
  • Assures the smooth flow of traffic on the drive by directing guest cars and taxis to the appropriate positions and directing valet parkers to park cars.
  • Provides guests with directions, recommendations, and information about the city and its attractions. Hails taxis as needed. Loads luggage in car for departing guests.
What you bring
  • Guest Services and Luggage Porter experience in luxury hospitality operations.
  • Excellent Italian and English communications skills (verbal and written).
  • A natural talent for ensuring our guests feel at home, have excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, and an exceptional eye for detail.
  • Highest level of integrity, an eye for detail and a collaborative nature.

Schedule & Hours
  • This is a full‑time position
  • The candidate must have a flexible schedule and work also on weekends and holidays.

This position is based at the San Domenico Palace in Taormina and the contract is seasonal. You must possess the legal right to work in Italy.
