Generali is seeking an experienced professional to join the Group Accounting Policies & IFRS Reporting team. You will help define and implement group accounting policies, support IFRS reporting, and drive improvements within an international finance function.

You will work with senior stakeholders across Generali, applying technical accounting expertise and analytical thinking. The role requires collaboration across Group Functions and international business units, with occasional travel.

Competenze

• 5–7 years of professional accounting, financial reporting, audit, or technical accounting experience.
• Big Four audit/advisory background is a strong plus.
• Experience in multinational groups, financial institutions, insurance or listed entities is valued.
• Fluent English is essential; Italian language is a plus.

Mansioni

• Define, maintain and evolve Group Accounting Policies and IFRS guidelines in line with IFRS requirements.
• Monitor IFRS changes and regulatory developments affecting the Group's financial reporting.
• Provide technical accounting support to Group Business Units on IFRS issues.
• Prepare accounting memoranda, position papers, and policy documents.
• Support IFRS 17 reporting processes and related policies.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated professional to join our Group Accounting Policies & IFRS Reporting team. In this role, you will work at the heart of Generali's Finance function, contributing to the definition and implementation of Group accounting policies, supporting Group IFRS reporting processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within a truly international environment.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

• Contribute to the definition, maintenance and evolution of Group Accounting Policies and related accounting guidelines in compliance with IFRS requirements
• Monitor and assess the impact of new accounting standards, amendments, and regulatory developments on the Group's financial reporting framework
• Provide technical accounting support and guidance to Group Business Units on complex accounting transactions and IFRS application issues
• Contribute to the preparation of accounting memoranda, technical position papers, accounting policy documents and implementation guidelines
• Support the interpretation and continuous improvement of IFRS 17 reporting processes and related accounting policies
• Support the preparation and review of the Group's semi-annual and annual consolidated financial statements under IFRS
• Analyze and review financial reporting information submitted by Group Business Units, ensuring consistency, completeness and compliance with Group standards
• Contribute to the enhancement of reporting processes, controls, data quality and automation initiatives
• Participate in cross-functional and international projects involving Group Functions and local Business Units
• Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory stakeholders, supporting audit reviews and accounting discussions
• Deliver training sessions and knowledge-sharing activities on accounting topics within the Group
• Travel periodically across Generali Group Business Units to support projects, governance activities and stakeholder engagement

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or equivalent
• Additional professional qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) will be considered a plus
• At least 5-7 years of professional experience in accounting, financial reporting, audit, or technical accounting
• Previous experience within a Big Four audit/advisory firm is considered a strong plus
• Experience within multinational groups, financial institutions, insurance companies or listed entities is highly valued
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
• Italian is considered a plus

Technical Skills

• Deep knowledge of IFRS accounting standards and financial reporting principles
• Strong understanding of consolidated financial statements preparation and reporting processes
• Knowledge of IFRS 17 is considered a significant plus
• Knowledge of insurance accounting and reporting frameworks reresents an advantage
• Experience in accounting policy analysis and interpretation of complex accounting transactions is highly valued
• Excellent analytical capabilities and ability to translate technical requirements into practical business solutions
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience with reporting and consolidation systems (Tagetik, SAP or similar platforms) is appreciated

What we offer

We offer employment at the VI level with the relevant salary, in accordance with the CCNL ANIA for non-executive employees and the Generali Group Company Agreement.

Gross annual salary ranging between 43K€ and 53K€. The final offer will be aligned with the candidate’s professional experience, technical and soft skills relevant to the role, and may include an individual variable component.
