Enfinity Global seeks an electrical engineer to coordinate all activities for grid connection design, development, construction and commissioning of PV and BESS projects, liaising with TSOs, external consultants, and internal teams in Italy and Spain.

The ideal candidate will manage multiple projects with strong PM skills, report to management, and work in a multinational environment; Italian and English fluency required, travel possible.

Competenze

• Degree in Electric or Mechanical Engineering
• At least 3 years experience in the energy sector with HV/MV substations
• Knowledge of the Italian Grid Code for connecting large renewables
• Fluent in Italian and English; Spanish a plus
• Proactive, able to manage multiple projects and travel as needed
• Strong organizational, communication and teamwork skills
• Advanced MS Office skills

• Assess grid connection solutions (HV/MV) for large renewables to the National Grid
• Identify best economical/technical solutions per project and feasibility

Job Description

Enfinity is looking for an engineer that will be responsible for coordinating all the activities related to the identification, design, development, construction and commissioning of the grid infrastructure (transmission line and electrical substation) necessary to connect PV and BESS projects, being responsible of liaising with the relevant stakeholders with particular reference to Transmission and Distribution System Operators, external engineering companies, development partners including advisors and consultants, also in coordination with other departments such as legal, business and technical development, engineering, construction and operation.

The ideal candidate is able to track the status and the progress of several projects efficiently and timely, to properly and effectively report to management, to evaluate risks and to suggest mitigation measures as well as technical improvements actions; is able to manage other resources and to properly allocate activities within the team based on workload and priorities; is able to resolve conflicts, communicate effectively with external and internal stakeholders; is also able to act proactively and has strong project management skills that will allow managing several small and large projects simultaneously in cooperation with other members of the teams based in Italy and Spain.

Key responsibilities

• Assessment of grid connection solutions (high and medium voltage) for large scale renewable plants to the National Grid (including grid reinforcements, construction of new HV stations or reinforcement of existing ones, overhead and underground transmission lines)
• Identification of the best solution (economical and technical) per each project according to schedule and feasibility
• Coordination of internal and external stakeholders, including independent engineering consultants, for the preparation of engineering and feasibility studies
• Interaction with external stakeholders to discuss technical solutions and define connection agreements
• Cost analysis and budget control for the execution of electrical works
• Overall project management and collaboration with other company departments
• Follow projects until RtB, handover and support to the construction team during the realization of the interconnection works

Requirements

• Degree in Electric or Mechanical Engineering

• At least 3 years experience in the energy sector, with strong knowledge of HV and MV electrical substations and electromechanical background
• Knowledge of the Italian Grid Code and the technical requirements needed to connect large scale renewable plants to the National Grid
• Ability to perform detail-oriented critical reviews of technical documentation
• Fluent in Italian and English, both verbal and written, able to write high quality technical reports. Spanish would be a plus
• Proactive, self-motivated, result-oriented and able to work without supervision
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and to manage multiple projects at the same time
• Multitasking and ability to work according to priorities
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Flexibility, interdisciplinary teamwork skills and willingness to travel when needed
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Office package
