A leading renewable energy company in Italy is seeking a Grid Connection Manager to oversee MV/HV electrical studies and manage grid connections for utility-scale PV plants. The ideal candidate has an engineering degree, 8+ years of experience, knowledge of photovoltaic systems and grid connection standards, and is fluent in English. This role may require frequent travel.

Competenze

• 8+ years of experience in RE grid connection or with a grid operator.
• Experience with German DSO/TSO processes and Grid Codes is a plus.
• Willingness for frequent travel and valid driving licence.

Mansioni

• Manage MV/HV electrical studies.
• Define metering solutions aligned with regulations.
• Build relationships with DSO/TSO and negotiate interconnection conditions.
• Support construction and commissioning for PV plants.
• Lead MV/HV grid connection engineering.

What you will do:

• Manage MV/HV electrical studies, ensure Grid Code and technical standards compliance
• Define metering solutions aligned with DSO/TSO regulations
• Build relationships with DSO/TSO, negotiate interconnection conditions, secure permits and final grid connection
• Support construction and commissioning for PV plants and interconnection facilities on all MV/HV issues
• Lead MV/HV grid connection engineering; review protection selectivity and MV cable sizing
• Provide procurement support: specs and designs for transformers and delivery stations, align integrator offers, participate in FAT and commissioning

What you bring & who you are:

• Must-have: Engineering degree (electrical, civil or similar); 8+ years in RE grid connection or with a grid operator
• Must-have: Strong knowledge of photovoltaic systems, electricity, and MV/HV grid connection standards
• Must-have: English fluency; valid driving licence; willingness for frequent travel
• Nice-to-have: Experience with German DSO/TSO processes and Grid Codes
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with multi‑party grid cost agreements and technical due diligence (M&A)
