Descrizione del lavoro

Graduate Software Engineer at Bending Spoons

Join an exciting opportunity to build products at scale and grow with a team that pushes technologies such as Python, Rust, Kubernetes, Docker, and gRPC. Bending Spoons acquires and grows digital businesses, leveraging an internal platform built on expertise, technologies, data, brand, talent, and company culture. The company’s mission is to deliver value to customers and shareholders while upholding high ethical standards.

Responsibilities
  • Master your toolkit. Work across diverse tech stacks and refine your ability to choose the right tools for each challenge – from monolithic to microservices architectures, gRPC to REST APIs, Kubernetes to Docker, Python to Rust. Demonstrate that true expertise comes from understanding purpose, not trendiness.
  • Build stuff that matters. Enjoy autonomy and full ownership of your work, from ideation to execution. Build software from the ground up and see how your code evolves into a product used at scale.
  • Simplify relentlessly. Transform complexity into simplicity – whether optimizing CI/CD pipelines, writing maintainable code, or crafting minimalist architectures – to deliver scalable, future‑proof solutions.
Qualifications
  • Reasoning ability. Solve complex problems from first principles, structure ideas sharply, resist biases, and pay attention to detail.
  • Drive. Demonstrate ambition, initiative, effort, and tenacity. Be deeply responsible for your work and hold yourself to a high, continuously rising standard.
  • Team spirit. Give generously, support the best idea, assist teammates without expectation, and act reliably, honestly, and transparently.
  • Proficiency in English. Read, write, and speak English fluently.
Benefits
  • Incredibly talented, entrepreneurial teams. Work in small, result‑oriented, autonomous teams alongside some of the brightest people in your field.
  • Exceptional growth opportunities. With outstanding potential, you’ll lead products worth hundreds of millions of dollars early in your career and play a vital role in major projects.
  • Competitive pay and equity. Typical starting salary: £85,797 (London) or €66,065 (Europe). For highly experienced candidates, ranges can be £112,189–250,512 (London) or €107,837–188,848 (Europe). Permanent contracts offer company equity at a discount, and relocation to Italy may yield a 50 % tax cut.
  • Comprehensive benefits. Flexible hours, remote work, unlimited learning support, top‑market health insurance, a generous relocation package, parental support, a yearly retreat, and a supportive culture to help you do your best.
