Overview
We are looking for an experienced and service-oriented GM&E Sales Manager to join our commercial team at Hampton by Hilton Venice Isola Nuova hotel. This role is pivotal in planning and executing successful group stays, meetings, and events, while driving revenue and ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction throughout the entire event journey.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate groups, meetings, and events in line with brand and service standards
- Manage room allotments for internal and contracted events, ensuring optimal occupancy and revenue
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of hotel facilities, products, and services to support client needs and promote upselling
- Support the Commercial Leader in identifying opportunities to increase hotel revenue, including upselling and cross-selling
- Adhere to hotel policies and procedures, particularly regarding timely collection of event information, deposits, billing, and contracts
- Conduct site inspections, pre-conference meetings, and post-event feedback sessions with clients, ensuring a smooth customer journey from planning to departure
- Assist in data collection, analysis, and reporting related to events, sales performance, and forecasts
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement effective sales strategies and promotional campaigns
- Actively participate in commercial activities such as client call days, sales blitzes, and marketing campaigns to generate new leads and strengthen existing relationships
Requirements
- Commitment to delivering an outstanding level of customer service—even under time pressure
- A positive, solution-focused attitude with a healthy balance between commercial targets and client satisfaction
- Confidence in handling negotiations and managing complex conversations with professionalism
- Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Groups, Meetings & Events, preferably within the hotel or hospitality sector
- Working knowledge of Delphi.fdc and hotel PMS (Hilton OnQ, Opera, or similar) is highly advantageous
- Fluency in Italian and English; additional languages are a plus
