Overview

Randstad Professional Leaders Search & Selection - specialized in the search and selection of middle & senior management profiles. On behalf of our client, a leading multinational company in the automotive aftermarket sector, we are looking for a Global Senior Buyer.

Reporting to the Global Director, Product Management & Purchasing, the Global Senior Buyer will be responsible for execution and management of purchasing strategies to ensure finished product sourcing and procurement practices are highly cost-effective and supported by best-practice tools, systems, processes, etc. This role also ensures relationships with suppliers are strong, strategic, and compliant as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Execution: Implement purchasing strategies to meet market needs, optimize costs (COGS), and mitigate risks, while adhering to global company standards.
  • Procurement Process Management: Manage the entire procurement lifecycle, from RFQ (Request for Quotation) to PPAP (Production Part Approval Process). This includes price negotiations, handling purchase orders, and ensuring all procurement activities are compliant with legal and company policies.
  • Supplier Management: Source, onboard, and develop strong relationships with new and existing suppliers. Negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms, manage supplier performance with scorecards, and act as the main point of contact between suppliers and internal teams (Engineering, Quality, etc.).
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with internal departments, participate in regular meetings to review KPIs and action plans, provide training on procurement tools, and support the implementation of new systems.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field.
  • 7–10 years of experience in Procurement, managing about 70K€ supplier contracts.
  • Proven finished goods procurement experience within the automotive aftermarket industry, particularly in managing rigid / metal parts product categories.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret large data sets, monitor KPIs, solve issues, assess trends, find opportunities, and support data-driven decisions.
  • Strong market knowledge and understanding of related processes, strategies, and best practices.
  • Fluent English is required for this role.

Salary Package: 70K-75K. The salary is indicative and will be commensurate with the candidate's actual experience.
