Alfasigma, a private global healthcare company headquartered in Italy, seeks a Senior Manager to be the organization’s subject-matter expert for licensed information resources. You will oversee vendor management, budgets, information governance, advanced literature searching, and stakeholder education.

The role emphasizes responsible AI use in research and information retrieval, with bases in the UK or US, and a collaboration across Legal, Compliance, IT, and R&D.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years as information specialist/library in pharma/biotech preferred.
• Experience negotiating information-resource contracts and vendor relationships.
• Advanced biomedical literature searching skills.
• Knowledge of copyright, licensing, AI ethics in information retrieval.

Responsabilités

• Lead negotiations and renewals for journals, databases, and other licensed resources.
• Develop negotiation strategies based on usage, needs, benchmarking, and total cost of ownership.
• Partner with Procurement and Legal on pricing, licensing terms, access rights, and AI-related provisions.
• Maintain strategic view of resource portfolio within budget constraints and drive optimizations.
• Monitor usage, cost metrics, ROI, and vendor relationships; act as primary relationship manager.
