We’re seeking a strategic and energetic Head of Sales to lead our Electrical Safety Solutions Business Unit’s commercial activities across all international markets, managing around 15 to 20 sales professionals to support boosting sales. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in engineering environments, enjoys building momentum, and knows how to inspire a worldwide team toward ambitious goals.

Global objectives:
  • Define the business unit's sales strategy and corresponding action plans, in close cooperation with the technical product line managers, the product marketing department, business development manager and in line with BU’s growth strategy.
  • Develop and manage the sales team and all sales activities on new and existing products.
  • Expand footprint of Electrical Safety Solutions products in existing and new industry sectors and regions.
  • Support the product line managers and the marketing department in developing the product economics.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive sales operations and develop sales strategies in line with top management approved budgets and BU action plans.
  • Lead promotion, acquisition, and portfolio management efforts.
  • Act as Key Account Manager for major clients or delegate as needed.
  • Drive, develop, and energize the BU sales team.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies and secure achievement of targets.
  • Contract management.
  • Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to take corresponding actions and adjust were required sales strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D, Product Management, Marketing, and Business Development.
  • Contribute to product and service evolution through market feedback.
  • Enhance continuous improvement in productivity, reliability, and transparency.
  • Implement IT / ERP tools to enhance sales effectiveness.

Uphold quality standards and enhance internal processes.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in international sales leadership and sales teams management in electrical equipment manufacturing or industrial B2B environments, with complex technical products.
  • Excellent track record in sales growth.
  • Technical degree in electrical engineering or in power electronics, ideally combined with additional commercial education.
  • Strong knowledge of at least one of the following industry sectors : high voltage, medium voltage, railway traction systems, power transmission & distribution, renewable energy and e-mobility.
  • Excellent team management skills that empowers his team.
  • Strong technical acumen and ability to engage with cross-functional teams.
  • Natural team motivator with a proactive, opportunity-driven mindset.
  • Comfortable with frequent travel (Up to 60% of the time) and direct client engagement.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop convincing communication strategies based on technical rationale.
  • Interest and ability to understand DC and AC power systems and corresponding product needs.
  • Excellent project management, organizational and problem-solving skills.
